Assad Sulaiman

Assad Sulaiman has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Assad started their career as an internee at Attock Refinery Limited, where they gained knowledge about industrial process control and PLC and DCS systems. Assad then joined K-Electric as a trainee engineer and later worked as a planning and system commissioning engineer. In this role, they successfully managed resources, commissioned smart meters, and led process design sessions for AMI-Smart Grid.

Sulaiman then transitioned to Philip Morris International as an OTS engineer and later took on the role of projects engineer. Assad was responsible for leading and managing large to medium-scale capital projects, developing project execution plans, and driving future manufacturing and business strategies.

After that, Sulaiman joined Swvl, where they held various positions including operations manager, senior manager of supply and operations, national manager of performance and quality, and general manager for Lahore. During their time at Swvl, they demonstrated expertise in managing operations, improving performance and quality, and leading teams.

Currently, Sulaiman is working at Daraz as the group head of operations planning and is set to become the group head of operations business development in 2023.

Overall, Sulaiman has a strong background in operations, project management, and leadership roles in companies across different sectors.

Assad Sulaiman completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Science and Technology, attending from 2009 to 2013. Assad then pursued a Post Graduate Diploma in Project Management from Pakistan Institute of Management starting in 2014. Prior to that, Assad attended Beaconhouse School System for their A Levels in Pre Engineering, from 2007 to 2009.

In addition to their formal education, Assad Sulaiman obtained certifications in various fields. In June 2014, they completed the course "Developing Innovative Ideas for New Companies: The First Step in Entrepreneurship" from Coursera. Furthermore, in July 2019, they obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute.
