Francisco Alvarez Colombo has a diverse work experience in the power and utilities industry. Francisco started their career at Philip Morris International as an EHS Intern, where they gained experience in data analysis and continuous improvement. Francisco then interned at Enel X, where they focused on utility bill management, energy efficiency, and business development. After their internship, they joined Enel X as a Business Analyst and Sales representative, responsible for sales administration, budgeting, and KPI monitoring. Most recently, Francisco worked at Darcy Partners as a Power & Utilities Research Analyst and was later promoted to the role of Power & Utilities Research Associate. In this role, they led research on innovative technologies for Darcy's utility clients, with a particular focus on Distributed Energy Resources and Energy Efficiency. Francisco delivered consultancy projects, led forum presentations, and provided expert input on topics such as demand response, virtual power plants, microgrids, and building decarbonization.
Francisco Alvarez Colombo began their education in 2007 at St. Luke's College, where they pursued a Bilingual Baccalaureate in Natural Sciences, completing the program in 2012. Francisco then went on to attend Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina 'Santa María de los Buenos Aires' from 2013 to 2020, studying Environmental Engineering.

In 2018, they earned a certification in Tableau Desktop Fundamentals from Tableau Software. Francisco furthered their expertise by completing courses on Design Thinking for Innovation at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business in 2020 and Financial Markets at Yale University in the same year. Their most recent certification, obtained in 2021, is the IELTS Academic from IELTS Official. In 2019, Francisco underwent training in Energía Eólica de Potencia at UTN Buenos Aires.
