Courtney James

Courtney James, MPAP, is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in government relations and policy. Currently serving as the Manager of Government Relations at Darden since June 2024, Courtney previously worked as a Government Consultant/Lobbyist at The Southern Group-Florida from September 2023 to June 2024. Courtney's background includes roles as Assistant Director of Policy, Legal and Government Relations, and Adjunct Faculty at Valencia College from November 2016 to September 2023. Earlier experience includes positions as a Litigation Paralegal at Crandall & Pera Law, LLC, and Lerner, Sampson & Rothfuss, as well as an Accounts Payable Specialist. Educational qualifications comprise a Master's degree in Public Administration and Policy from American University, a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Bowling Green State University, and a Legal Secretary Certificate from Cuyahoga Valley Career Center.
