Most preclinical research data never leaves the lab. It sits in spreadsheets, gets lost when PhD students graduate, and is never published — so experiments get repeated, and labs maintain 20–30% more animals than needed.

DaRev is building the data infrastructure layer for preclinical animal research. Our platform captures every animal, treatment, dose, and outcome as structured, machine-readable data as researchers work — no extra steps. That structured data flows automatically into 3Rs compliance reports and public dataset registries, replacing weeks of manual documentation with a process that runs in the background.

3Rs compliance is now legally required in the UK, Germany, Switzerland, and Japan. 134 UK institutions need this infrastructure. DaRev makes compliance a byproduct of normal lab workflows — and makes preclinical data reusable across studies, labs, and institutions.

Founded by Dr. Hsin Chen — Oxford DPhil, pharmacist, and former preclinical researcher — with advisors at Oxford and UCL.
