Alexandre Medina

Alexandre Medina has a diverse work experience in the field of aerodynamics engineering. Alexandre is currently working as the Lead Aerodynamics Engineer at Dark since December 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Avibras between 2017 and 2021, where they held various roles including Aerodynamic Design Engineer for Future Concepts, Missile Systems, and Performance Engineer for Rocket Systems. Before joining Avibras, they worked as an Aeronautical Engineer at MFLab - Laboratório de Mecânica dos Fluidos from 2016 to 2017. Earlier in their career, they were an Engineering Trainee in Aero- & Thermodynamics at Stadler in 2016. Alexandre also gained research experience as a Research Assistant at MFLab - Laboratório de Mecânica dos Fluidos from 2013 to 2015, and as a Research Assistant Intern at the School of Civil Engineering, The University of Sydney from 2012 to 2013.

Alexandre Medina has a solid education history in aerospace and mechanical engineering. Alexandre obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Aerospace Sciences and Technology from the Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica - ITA, where they studied from 2021 to 2026. Prior to this, they completed a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering at the Universidade Federal de Uberlândia - UFU, from 2016 to 2017.

In 2012 and 2013, Alexandre participated in a non-award undergraduate exchange program at the University of Sydney, focusing on Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical/Space Engineering. Alexandre then returned to the Universidade Federal de Uberlândia - UFU, where they obtained their Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, and Astronautical Engineering from 2010 to 2016.

In addition to their formal education, Alexandre has obtained several certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge in the field. These certifications include "Curso de Modelagem Computacional de Escoamentos Multifásicos com ANSYS CFD" and "Curso de Simulação de Interação Fluido-Estrutura (FSI)" from the Instituto ESSS. Alexandre also holds certifications in Red Hat System Administration I and II from Red Hat. Alexandre has further demonstrated their language proficiency by earning a score on the TOEFL iBT exam administered by the Educational Testing Service (ETS) and the IELTS Academic certification from Cambridge English Language Assessment.
