Garrett Aida has had a varied career in the tech industry. In 2005, they began their career as a Laboratory Technician at the UCLA Medical Center. In 2011, they were an Undergraduate Researcher at the Compliant Mechanisms Research Laboratory at BYU, where they researched and developed flat, linear actuators in conjunction with lamina emergent mechanisms (LEM) and monolithic hinge mechanisms used to deploy solar panels on spacecraft in conjunction with NASA. In 2012, they founded and became CEO of Dark Energy, LLC. In 2013, they became a CPE Engineer at Cummins Inc., where they were responsible for product design and performance optimization on diesel and natural gas engine powered generators 6.7L through 87L. Finally, in 2016, they became the CEO of Dark Energy Corporate, a trusted high quality manufacturer of customized mobile power products for organizations, branded with their logo.
Garrett Aida attended Brigham Young University from 2006 to 2013, studying Mechanical Engineering.
