Elmaré Schutte has a diverse work experience that spans over different industries. Elmaré started their career in 1999 as a Speech and Language Pathologist/Audiologist at NHS and worked there until 2005. From 2008 to 2010, they worked as a Business Consultant at Commercial Services. In 2010, they joined Dark Fibre Africa, where they held multiple roles, including being a Transformation Officer and currently serving as the Head of B-BBEE, Transformation & Inclusion. In their current position, they are responsible for managing and implementing processes and policies to align with legislation and meet transformational outcomes while supporting the broader business objectives of diversity.

Elmaré Schutte obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Communication Pathology from the University of Pretoria between the years 1993-1997. Prior to that, they attended The Glen High School in Pretoria for their high school education from 1989-1993. Elmaré also completed a Masters Course in Transformation Strategy at Transcend, although the specific dates are unknown.
