In addition to artistic pursuits, Balboni serves as a teacher for the "Anatomy of the Human Body for Artists" course at Bugs Academy - LUISS from October 2018 through February 2025. Prior roles include working as a storyboarder and character location designer at Rainbow c.g.i. from June 2007 to June 2008, and a comic book artist for various publishers including IDW Publishing and Convict Comics.
