Vikas Rao is an experienced technology leader with a focus on product management and engineering in the mortgage lending and networking industries. Currently serving as the Deputy Chief Product Officer at Dark Matter Technologies since April 2024, Vikas spearheads innovation in mortgage products. Prior experience includes roles as Vice President of Product Management at Ellie Mae, overseeing the Encompass Lending Platform and its partner network, and contributions as Director of Product Management and Director of Engineering at the same company, where Vikas significantly influenced the Encompass NextGen products. Earlier positions held include UI Architect at Aerohive Networks, where Vikas developed award-winning software, and senior roles at StrongMail Systems, Rackup LLC, WWE Inc, Parity Computing Ltd, and as an open-source contributor. Vikas holds a Stanford Ignite degree from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business and graduated with a degree in Computer Science from San José State University.
