Cormac Monaghan has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Cormac most recently worked as the SVP of Finance, HR, and Business Affairs at Dark Slope and Lumeto starting in 2018. Prior to that, they served as the Head of Finance at Epic Story Media from August 2018 to March 2021. Before that, they were the Vice President of Finance at Blue Ant Media from July 2013 to April 2018, where they were responsible for various financial functions in the media industry. Cormac also held the position of Vice President of Finance at Entertainment One from September 2009 to July 2013, where they managed a finance team and contributed to the company's growth.

Earlier in their career, Monaghan worked at Warner Bros. Canada as the Director of Finance from May 2004 to August 2009. Cormac gained experience in corporate reporting, forecasting, treasury management, and tax planning during their tenure. Additionally, they served as a Project Manager at Alliance Atlantis from May 2003 to May 2004, where they managed a team of contractors. Monaghan also worked as the Director of Financial Reporting and Treasury at Mosaic Group PLC from April 2002 to May 2003, where they navigated the company through a wind-down and disposal process.

Furthermore, Monaghan served as the Vice President of Finance and Administration at Dimplex North America from July 1999 to March 2002, overseeing finance and administrative functions for a subsidiary of a global electrical heating products manufacturer. Cormac began their career at PwC Dublin, where they trained as a Chartered Accountant (CA) and worked in various roles, including Director of Corporate Finance and manager of the reporting team for the Eircom 1999 IPO. Monaghan also spent two years at PwC Toronto.

Cormac Monaghan completed their Certificate in Corporate Finance at CPA Ontario, which they concluded in 2021. In 2009, they obtained a Diploma in IFRS from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland, where they focused on International Financial Reporting Standards. Additionally, in 2007 and 2008, they participated in an Executive MBA joint program between Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management and Schulich School at York University in Toronto. Cormac's secondary education took place at Franciscan College, Gormanston, where they completed their high school education. Furthermore, they earned a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree from University College Dublin.
