J. Maria Shannon

J. Maria Shannon has a diverse work experience that spans various roles and companies. J. Maria most recently worked as the Chief of Staff at DarkStar Intelligence starting in August 2022. Prior to that, they were a Program Manager at the same company from January to October 2022. Before joining DarkStar Intelligence, they had a long career with the US Army. J. Maria'sroles included serving as an Emergency Manager and CBRN Officer from July 2019 to January 2022, where they oversaw EM and CBRN programs for multiple installations and major commands. J. Maria also served as a Diversity and Inclusion Strategist from July to December 2020, tasked with developing policy recommendations for improving diversity and inclusion in the Department of Defense. Additionally, they held positions such as Company Commander, Secretary General Staff, Executive Office, Platoon Leader, and CBRN Officer during their time with the US Army.

J. Maria Shannon's education history includes two significant experiences. From 2007 to 2011, they attended the United States Military Academy at West Point, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Foreign Areas Studies, with a focus on Latin America. Additionally, from 2019 to 2021, they invested their educational pursuits at the International Language Institute, focusing on the Russian language and completing the Russian Intermediate 1 program.
