Mario del Pino

Mario del Pino has a diverse range of work experience in various industries. Mario'smost recent role is as a Data Team Lead at DarkVision Technologies Inc., where they oversee the implementation of a new Casing Integrity Evaluation Team. Mario is responsible for defining and implementing workflows that enable the team to handle a larger volume of projects while maintaining high quality standards. Prior to this, Mario worked as a Data Analyst at DarkVision, specializing in analyzing ultrasonic scans of oil and gas wells.

Before joining DarkVision, Mario was a Professor of Business Analytics at University Canada West's MBA program, where they guided students in data-driven decision making and the value of digital technologies. Mario also worked as a Digital Transformation Consultant at Bounce Latam, driving the adoption of cloud-based business intelligence systems.

Mario's earlier experience includes working at Repsol, where they held various roles such as Digitalization Lead, Project Engineer, Control Room Engineer, Construction Supervisor, and Wellsite Drilling Engineer. Mario was responsible for managing digital transformation projects, overseeing project schedules and costs, ensuring optimal start-up and integration of facilities, supervising construction projects, and providing support during drilling and workover campaigns.

Prior to Repsol, Mario had an internship at Petrex S.A., where they gained experience in writing performance reports, client presentations, and tender elaboration. Mario also worked as a Research Assistant at the Petroleum Research Institute, Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería.

Mario del Pino's education history starts in 2007 when they attended Newton College and obtained their International Baccalaureate degree. In 2010, they enrolled at the National University of Engineering and completed their Bachelor's degree in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering in 2015.

From 2018 to 2021, Mario pursued further education at Heriot-Watt University, where they earned their MSc in Petroleum Engineering. During their time at Heriot-Watt University, they also completed a Data Science Track at DataCamp in 2018-2019.

In 2021, Mario continued their professional development by attending the Postgrado UPC, where they completed a Diploma in the Scrum Master Specialized Program and earned a Certificate in Scrum Scaling.

Most recently, in 2022, Mario attended the Instituto Tecnológico de Buenos Aires, where they obtained an Advanced Certificate in the Management of Energy Transitions.

In addition to their formal education, Mario also holds certifications such as the Well Control Level 1 Programme from the International Well Control Forum, obtained in August 2019, and the Basic Offshore Safety Induction & Emergency Training (BOSIET) from OPITO, obtained in January 2016.
