Barry Behnken

Barry Behnken currently serves as an Entrepreneur in Residence at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and has a wealth of experience across various industries. With a significant background in engineering and technology, Barry held the position of EVP for Engineering at Infleqtion, a leader in Cold Atom Quantum Technology, and functioned as a Venture Partner at MIR Ventures, focusing on the intersection of psychology, culture, behavior, and technology. Prior roles include Vice President of Engineering at York Space Systems LLC, Co-Founder and SVP of Engineering at AEye, and Technical Fellow at Raytheon Technologies, where Barry contributed to emerging laser technologies. Barry's military background includes service as a Deputy Director at the Air Force Office of Scientific Research and a Division Director at the National Reconnaissance Office. Barry holds a Ph.D. in Physics, an M.B.A., and multiple degrees in applied physics and engineering.
