Caleb Royer

Caleb Royer is an experienced aerospace professional currently serving as a Program Manager at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) since March 2025. Prior to this role, Caleb led the Space Technology division at Scientific Systems from January 2020 to February 2025, overseeing numerous space programs and managing technology strategy and partnerships. With a strong foundation in satellite autonomy and modeling, Caleb held positions at L3Harris Applied Defense Solutions as Chief Engineer, where significant contributions were made to distributed modeling and simulation software for satellite constellations. Earlier professional experiences include roles as CEO of RouteMarket, where automation of freight shipping was pursued, and various engineering positions focused on autonomous systems and machine learning at companies like Aurora Flight Sciences and Riverside Research. Caleb holds a Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
