Es Vorm

ES Vorm, PhD, serves as a Senior Cognitive Systems Engineer at the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) since August 2022, focusing on human-machine teaming and human-AI collaboration. In conjunction, ES Vorm holds the position of Technical Director for the DARPA EDGE Program, overseeing the development of experimental human-machine interfaces in high-risk environments. Previous roles include Deputy Director at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory, where ES Vorm led efforts for the DARPA Explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) program, and an adjunct professorship at the University of Central Florida. ES Vorm's early career as an Aerospace Experimental Psychologist involved developing selection measures for aerial candidates and conducting research on psychological factors influencing military operations. ES Vorm earned a PhD in Human Computer Interaction from Indiana University Bloomington and a Master's degree in Educational Psychology from the University of North Texas.
