Joseph Altepeter is a Program Manager at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) since September 2019. Previously, Joseph served as an Associate at Berberian & Co., LLC from February 2012 to September 2019 and was a Research Assistant Professor in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Department at Northwestern University from January 2007 to February 2012, focusing on the creation of entangled states at telecom wavelengths for quantum communication and quantum computing. Joseph also contributed to research as a Fulbright Researcher at the University of Queensland in 2001. Joseph holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (2001-2006) and a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Washington University in St. Louis (1996-2000).
