Liz Specht, Ph.D., is a seasoned expert in biotechnology, focusing on biomanufacturing, protein diversification, and circular bioeconomy principles. Currently an Emerging Technology Fellow at the Horizon Institute for Public Service and a Fellow at DARPA's Biological Technologies Office, Liz supports national security objectives related to food and agriculture. Previously, Liz served as Vice President of Science & Technology at The Good Food Institute, overseeing strategic initiatives and collaborations in the alternative protein sector. With a robust academic background that includes a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences and a B.S. in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, Liz is dedicated to advancing innovative solutions through science and technology.
