Tom Creely, PhD, is a highly experienced professional in the field of ethics and emerging technologies, currently serving as a Research Collaborator at the sAIpien Project at MIT Media Lab since April 2025. Creely holds the position of Chair at the Five Eyes The Technical Cooperation Project's Ethical, Legal, Social, and Environmental Action Group since January 2024, while also directing the Ethics & Emerging Military Technology Graduate Program at the U.S. Naval War College since September 2014. Additional roles include Panel Member for the Special Competitive Studies Project, Ethics Consultant to DARPA Program Managers, and Affiliate of the Jahn Research Group at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Involvement extends to membership on the IEEE Society of Social Implications of Technology Board of Governors and previously serving as Deputy Chair and U.S. Lead for the Technical Project Ethical, Legal, Social & Environmental Issues Action Group, as well as participation on the Board of Directors for the Association for Practical and Professional Ethics.
