DASNY
Jezette Nelson is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion, currently serving as a Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Assistant at the Dormitory Authority - State of New York (DASNY) since 2017. In addition to this role, Jezette has held positions as an Operations Assistant and has contributed to the DASNY Insurance division. As a Conference Producer for Kingdom Women Empowered since March 2001, Jezette has successfully created and led a three-day empowerment conference featuring a variety of activities, educational workshops, and prominent speakers aimed at uplifting women of all ages. Jezette's prior experience with DASNY includes roles as a Communication & Marketing Assistant and M/WBE Clerk. Educationally, Jezette holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management & Economics from SUNY Empire State College and an Associate’s Degree in Individual Studies with a focus on Construction Technology from Hudson Valley Community College, alongside a Bachelor's degree in Theology from Spirit of Truth Seminary.
