John Savona, AIA, LEED AP BD-C, has extensive experience in architecture and project management, currently serving as Project Executive at the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY) since January 2003. In this role, John provides leadership and coordination for large, complex projects that are often technically challenging and environmentally sensitive. Prior experience includes positions as Architect at DASNY, where responsibilities encompassed design management and construction oversight, and Project Architect at SRG Architects, where John managed marketing, project scheduling, and quality assurance. Earlier in John's career, as Architectural Planner and Coordinator at BBL Construction Services, efforts focused on developing construction documents and providing technical support. John holds a Master of Architecture from the University at Buffalo, a BS in Architecture from the New York Institute of Technology, and an AAS in Civil Engineering Technology from Hudson Valley Community College. Additionally, John has been involved in a collaborative initiative among multiple New York State agencies to promote green building practices.
