Greg Cochrane

Vice Chairman at Data Communications Management

Transforming the culture and strategic vision of a 60-year-old industry-leading company like DCM is a weighty task, but it’s one Greg shoulders with gusto every day as Vice Chairman. With the overall operating responsibility of DCM, Greg is the guiding force behind the company’s metamorphosis into Canada’s leading communications and marketing services provider. He passionately strives to ensure every brand they work with makes real, lasting connections with customers. Inspired and impassioned by his extensive career—spanning marketing services, communications, event management, private equity investment, and philanthropy—Greg knows what works and what doesn’t.

As an owner of Mariposa Communications, he helped build it into Canada’s largest event company by the time it was sold to Mosaic. Soon after, he became the lead investor and director of Pareto Corporation, a marketing services start-up that he helped go public before its sale to a private equity firm. Greg continued his career at VRG Capital, where he served as lead investor and director in a number of public and private companies. In 2016, he joined DCM as an investor and director, becoming President and then CEO. Passionate about giving back to Canadian communities, Greg was recognized with Canada’s 125th Commemorative Anniversary medal for volunteerism. He has an MBA from the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University.
