Celina Scott-Buechler is an accomplished environmental researcher and policy leader with extensive experience in climate innovation and marine bioeconomy. Currently serving as a Senior Resident Fellow for Climate Innovation at Data for Progress and Co-Chair of Marine Bioeconomy at Ocean Visions, Scott-Buechler focuses on progressive carbon removal and sustainable economic practices for frontline communities. Previous roles include Research Associate at the NEGEM Project, Environmental Justice Legislative Fellow in the United States Senate, and Deputy Director at the Center for Environmental Peacebuilding, where work emphasized the relationship between climate change and conflict. Scott-Buechler's educational background includes a JD from Stanford Law School and a PhD in Environment & Resources from Stanford University, complemented by a Master of Science in Atmospheric Science and a Bachelor's degree in Earth Systems Science & Environmental Justice from Cornell University.
