Mark Marini has significant experience in various roles, primarily in the property and recruitment sectors. Currently serving in the ePrivacy Investigations Unit at the Data Protection Commission Ireland since July 2021, Mark previously worked as an Account Manager at Property Button for a brief period. Earlier career positions include serving as a Skilled Labourer and Recruitment Consultant at Hunter Labour Hire and as a Portfolio Manager at AIB. Mark also gained extensive experience at Sherry FitzGerald, holding multiple roles including Negotiator, New Homes Advisor, and Graduate Intern. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Property Economics from Technological University Dublin, completed in 2014.

The Data Protection Commission is Ireland’s independent supervisory authority tasked with upholding individual data protection rights and regulating the data processing activities of the organisations operating within our jurisdiction. The DPC is the Irish supervisory authority responsible for monitoring the application of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and we also have functions and powers related to other regulatory frameworks, including the Irish ePrivacy Regulations (2011) and the EU Directive known as the Law Enforcement Directive (LED).
