Rui Mendes

Rui Mendes is a co-founder and executive director at Ripply since April 2021 and has held the position of co-founder and head of finance and corporate partnerships at World Data League since May 2020, leading initiatives that address socially-oriented problems through data science and AI. With experience spanning various roles, Rui serves on the audit committee and organizes the annual DSPT Day conference for Data Science Portugal since August 2016. Rui's past roles include data analyst at Go Wi-Fi, co-founder of Porto.AI, and developer/researcher in bioinformatics at IEETA. Rui holds a master's degree in Information Systems from Universidade de Aveiro and bachelor's degrees in Applied Mathematics from Lusíada University of Oporto and Mathematics from Universidade de Coimbra. Proficient in technologies such as SQL, Python, and machine learning, Rui has demonstrated extensive skills in data analysis and web application development throughout a diverse career.
