Aaron Shurtleff has had a diverse work experience in the field of design. Aaron is currently working as a Lead Product Designer at DataBased since June 2021. Prior to this, they worked as an Adjunct Professor at Brigham Young University, teaching a class on User Experience and Interaction Design starting from September 2019.

Before joining DataBased and Brigham Young University, Aaron Shurtleff gained extensive experience in various design roles. From October 2010, they worked as a Designer and Owner at Aaron Shurtleff Design. Additionally, they worked as a Senior UX Designer at SimpleNexus from June 2018 to June 2021, where they led product design efforts, developed a new design system, and collaborated with the marketing team on branding and messaging.

Aaron also served as a Senior UX Designer at Workfront from November 2017 to June 2018, handling design responsibilities. Prior to that, they worked as a UX Designer at Domo, Inc. from January 2016 to November 2017.

Aaron's earlier experiences include working as a Graphic Designer at MODERE from January 2015 to January 2016, as well as at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints - Visual Identity Office from March 2013 to January 2015. Aaron also worked as a Graphic Designer at Brigham Young University from November 2010 to March 2013 and gained internship experience as a Graphic Design Intern at Johnson & Johnson from May 2012 to August 2012.

Aaron Shurtleff obtained an Associate's degree in Visual Arts from Illinois Central College, which they attended from 2007 to 2009. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Graphic Design at Brigham Young University from 2009 to 2013. In 2017, they received a certification titled "IDEO: From Ideas to Action" from IDEO U.
