Alnur Ali

Alnur Ali is a Software Engineer in Applied AI at Databricks, focusing on projects that utilize large language models and generative AI for enterprise data since December 2023. In addition, Alnur serves as an advisor to various machine learning startups from November 2023. Previously, as the Head of Machine Learning at Sisu from June 2022 to November 2023, Alnur managed teams on projects involving large language models and enterprise data analytics. Alnur's academic background includes a postdoctoral position at Stanford University in the Departments of Statistics and Electrical Engineering, where work involved responsible AI and mentoring PhD students. Prior experience includes serving as a Visiting Research Scientist at Microsoft Research, where Alnur developed machine learning research applications for web search. Alnur holds a PhD in Machine Learning from Carnegie Mellon University.
