Andy Konwinski

Andy Konwinski is the Co-Founder & VP of Product Management at Databricks. Andy was previously a Research and Software Engineer Intern at Google from January 2011 to August 2011, where they researched Google's next-generation cluster scheduling system. Andy was also a Research and Software Engineer Intern at Yahoo! from June 2008 to August 2008, where they improved scheduling in Apache Hadoop. From September 2007 to February 2013, they were a Postdoc at UC Berkeley in Computer Science. Andy also worked on Spark and the AMPLab BDAS stack. Andy was a Research Intern at Los Alamos National Laboratory from June 2007 to August 2007. Andy was also a Business Development and Software Engineer Intern at Epic from June 2006 to May 2007.

Andy Konwinski received their PhD in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley. Andy also holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from UC Berkeley, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
