Dilshad Shawki

Dilshad Shawki is an accomplished Data Scientist currently employed at Sylvera since March 2023 and at Karhoo since February 2019, specializing in data product development and machine learning within the Data Products Team. Prior experience includes freelance data science work for the National Theatre and a Senior Audience Insight Officer role, where stakeholder management in data projects was a key responsibility. Dilshad holds a Ph.D. in Climate and Atmospheric Physics from Imperial College London, where research focused on the impact of industrial pollution on South Asian rainfall. Additional expertise was gained as a Visiting Scientist at NASA, developing fire and drought prediction tools, and as an EMEA Hardware Pricing Report Analyst at IBM. Educational qualifications also include an MSc in Physics from Imperial College London and a BSc in Physics from the University of Surrey.
