Hanlin Tang

Hanlin Tang is a prominent figure in the field of artificial intelligence and neural networks. Currently serving as the CTO of Neural Networks at Databricks since July 2023, Hanlin previously co-founded and held the role of CTO at MosaicML until its acquisition by Databricks. With a strong background in AI research and development, Hanlin held senior positions at Intel Corporation as Senior Director of the AI Lab and Principal Engineer, contributing significantly to MLPerf, an industry consortium for benchmarking machine learning systems. Earlier experience includes roles as Senior Algorithms Engineer at Nervana, Adjunct Researcher, and Research Assistant at RAND Corporation, and a brief tenure at the US Department of Defense. Hanlin Tang holds a PhD in Biophysics from Harvard University and a BA in Physics from Princeton University.
