Lu Wang

Lu Wang is a Senior Software Engineer at Databricks since April 2018, currently leading the machine learning training team and responsible for developing and maintaining machine learning tools and platforms including Databricks runtime for ML, AutoML, and sparkdl. Prior to this, Lu Wang worked as a Software Engineer at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory from February 2015 to February 2018, focusing on algebraic multigrid solvers for linear systems in reservoir simulations. Lu Wang served as a Research Associate at Penn State University from August 2008 to February 2015, spearheading the development of simulation software for fluid-structure interaction problems. The doctoral research resulted in the development of a fast auxiliary space preconditioning method for Stokes equations. Lu Wang's earlier experience includes an internship at NVIDIA, where work involved parallelizing algebraic multigrid methods. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Computational Mathematics from Penn State University and a Bachelor's degree in Computational Mathematics from Peking University.
