Maryann Xue is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in the tech industry. Currently serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Databricks since May 2018, Maryann also holds prominent roles as a member of the Apache Calcite and Apache Phoenix Project Management Committees at The Apache Software Foundation since May 2014. Prior to this, Maryann worked at Intel Corporation from October 2010 to May 2018 as a Senior Software Engineer and Dev Leader for Hadoop HBase, leading feature development for Intel's Hadoop distribution and contributing to the HBase project. Maryann’s career also includes a position as a Support Consultant at SAP and as a Software Engineer at Intel Asia-Pacific R&D Ltd, specializing in XML libraries and XSLT compilers. Maryann holds a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, obtained in 2007.
