Michael Kiermaier

Michael Kiermaier began their career as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Princeton University in 2009 before joining McKinsey & Company in 2012. At McKinsey, they held various roles, eventually becoming a Partner until 2020. Michael then moved to Google as the Director of Business Planning and Commercialization, later transitioning to the role of Senior Director. In 2022, Michael joined Databricks as the Vice President of Business Strategy & Operations.

Michael Kiermaier completed their Diplom degree in Physics at the Technical University of Munich from 2000 to 2006. Michael then pursued a Master of Arts degree in Physics at Stony Brook University from 2003 to 2004. Later, they obtained their PhD in Physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2006 to 2009.
