Shrikanth Shankar

Shrikanth Shankar is a seasoned technology executive with extensive experience in engineering leadership across multiple prominent companies. Currently serving as Sr. Director at Databricks since November 2021, Shrikanth previously held the position of Director of Engineering at Facebook, where support was provided for OLTP databases critical to the online data stack. Prior to Facebook, Shrikanth led the Analytics Platform team at LinkedIn and served as VP Engineering at Qubole, focusing on data and analytics in the cloud. Shrikanth's earlier career includes a significant tenure at Oracle, where technical and people leadership was demonstrated in various roles, including Director of Development and Consulting Member of Technical Staff. Educational qualifications include an M.B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota.
