Tao Tao

Tao Tao is an experienced engineering leader currently serving as the Director of Engineering at Databricks, responsible for building collaboration and technology ecosystems while focusing on key areas such as Clean Rooms and Marketplace. Previously, at Tableau, Tao led the development of Tableau Catalog, contributing to its growth in the Data Management sector, and held roles including Senior Manager and Engineering Manager overseeing multiple feature teams. Tao's engineering career began at Microsoft, working on the COSMOS data storage system, and included a research assistantship at the University of Pennsylvania, where contributions were made to distributed query languages. Tao holds a Master of Science in Computer and Information Science from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Liberal Arts in Management from Harvard University.
