Xiaohui Sun

Xiaohui Sun is a highly experienced software engineer and engineering manager with a strong background in data governance and platforms. Currently a Staff Software Engineer at Databricks since May 2025, Xiaohui previously worked at Airbnb from October 2020 to May 2025, where contributions included leading the Machine Learning Infrastructure team and developing the company's feature and metrics platforms. Prior experience includes a role as Software Engineering Manager at LinkedIn, overseeing an anomaly detection team and serving as a tech lead for the Metrics Infrastructure team. Additionally, Xiaohui has been a committer for Apache Pinot at The Apache Software Foundation and held the position of Senior Software Development Engineer at Microsoft, managing large-scale datasets. Xiaohui holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Nankai University and a Doctorate in Computer Science from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences.
