Ram Jeyaraman

CTO at DataCaliper

Ram Jeyaraman is the current Chief Technical Officer at DataCaliper. Prior to this, they served as a board member for OASIS from December 2014 to November 2017. In this role, they oversaw the growth, finances, strategic direction, policies, and adherence to regulatory requirements for the organization. Ram also led the design of a legal framework that enables co-development of open source and open standards. In recognition of their significant contributions to the advancement of open standards, they received the OASIS Distinguished Contributor award in 2014.

From September 2009 to March 2015, Jeyaraman was a Senior Program Manager at Microsoft Open Technologies, where they drove Microsoft's efforts to certify Azure services in China. Ram formulated Microsoft's strategy, represented the interests of multiple product groups, helped a China government agency develop certification requirements, and ensured that Azure services conform to regulatory requirements in China. Ram also led technical negotiations with key partners and resolved high-profile escalations, which facilitated Microsoft's initial contributions to MQTT (Message Queuing Telemetry Transport).

Jeyaraman also led the development of OData (Open Data Protocol) 4.0 specifications. Ram formulated Microsoft's engagement strategy, represented product group interests, drove partner negotiations, led the community to develop features and bug fixes, orchestrated timely delivery, and served as co-chair of the OASIS OData Technical Committee. Ram Jeyaraman has a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Manitoba, a Bachelor of Engineering - BE in Computer Science from the Institute of Road and Transport Technology, and a certification from Lynda.com in Blockchain: Learning Solidity.

They are on a team with Kyra Schaefer - Director, NetSuite Practice, Arnaldo Garcia - VP, Sales, and Shristi Sharma - Director, HR & Operations. Ram Jeyaraman reports to Anita Ragothaman, President.
