Richard Cotton

Richard Cotton is a seasoned data professional with extensive experience in data science, curriculum development, and statistical analysis. Currently serving as a Senior Data Evangelist at DataCamp since October 2016, Richard has held various positions within the company, including Data Evangelist, Learning Solutions Architect, and Head of Content Quality. Richard's previous roles include Data Scientist at Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar, Senior Analytical Consultant at TDX Group, and Chief Executive of The Damned Liars Ltd, a consultancy founded to provide statistical analyses and programming services. Richard's early career includes positions as a Mathematician and Data Scientist at the Health and Safety Laboratory and a Software Technician at VSC Solutions. Richard holds a Master of Research in Environmental Mathematics from the University of York and a Master of Mathematics from the University of Warwick.
