Jungeun Shin

Jungeun Shin began their career in 2010 as an Associate at Korea Exchange Bank, where they worked until 2012. They then joined Samsung Life Insurance as an Asset Risk Manager from October 2014 to August 2016. In 2017, Jungeun Shin became a Research Assistant at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Most recently, in February 2023, they started working as an Associate Data Scientist at Datacrunch Global.

Jungeun Shin completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Industrial Engineering at Korea University from 2006 to 2010. Following that, from 2012 to 2014, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Industrial Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Subsequently, from 2017 to 2020, Jungeun attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Industrial Engineering. Additionally, in May 2012, Jungeun obtained the certification of Financial Risk Manager (FRM) from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP).
