Loren Curry

Loren Curry has a diverse range of work experience. They most recently worked at Dataminr as a Senior Associate in Data Analytics, starting in September 2022. Prior to that, they held roles with the same company as an Associate in Data Analytics and a Data Analyst.

Before joining Dataminr, Loren worked at UC Berkeley Visitor and Parent Services as a Campus Ambassador from January 2018 to May 2021. In this role, Loren was responsible for providing campus tours and representing the university to visitors.

Loren also had an internship with Dataminr as a Data Analyst Intern from June 2020 to December 2020. During this internship, they developed auto-alerting models and analyzed client product usage data.

Additionally, Loren had leadership roles at BridgeUSA, serving as the Vice President from April 2019 to January 2020 and the Director of Finance from August 2017 to April 2019. In these positions, they organized events, managed fundraising efforts, and formed relationships with high-profile guest speakers.

Loren also had internships at OpenGov Inc. as a Customer Success Data Analyst Intern, where they designed algorithms and collaborated cross-functionally, and at Giffords as a Communications Intern, where they conducted research projects and presented findings.

Furthermore, Loren interned at Youth and Government, a program for high school students focused on leadership and civic engagement, where they facilitated discussions and taught about state government. They also worked at the American Swim Academy as a Deck Manager, supervising swim lessons and instructing children on swimming techniques.

Lastly, Loren had a research internship with County Supervisor Nate Miley in 2016.

Loren Curry completed a Bachelor's degree in Data Science and Political Economy from the University of California, Berkeley, between 2017 and 2021. Additionally, in 2020, Loren also studied Economics at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
