Chiel Mues (He/Him) has work experience as a Machine Learning Engineer at dataroots since September 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Statistics Tutor at Bijleszoeker from August 2015 to September 2021. In this role, they provided tutoring to students in social and biological/health sciences, as well as consulting on methods and statistical analysis in master theses. Chiel also has experience as a Scientific Contributor at the Faculteit Psychologie en Pedagogische Wetenschappen KU Leuven from August 2019 to June 2021. Additionally, they worked as a Teaching Assistant at KU Leuven from September 2019 to January 2020 and as a Research Intern at KU Leuven from October 2018 to June 2019. In their research intern role, they focused on models of emotion, advanced statistical analysis, and topics related to meta-psychology.

Chiel's enthusiasm for data analysis and statistics led him to pursue further education at KU Leuven. From 2020 to 2024, they are expected to obtain a Master of Science degree in Statistics and Data Science. With this program, Chiel aims to enhance their understanding and proficiency in statistical analysis and the interpretation of data.

In addition to their formal education, Chiel has also obtained certification as a Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist Associate from Microsoft in October 2021. This certification suggests their dedication to staying updated with industry-relevant skills and technologies, particularly in the field of data science.
