Merel Engberink's work experience begins in 2011, where they worked as an Office Administrative Assistant at Ropeblock B.V. for three months. The following year, in 2012, they took on a similar role at Velthuis kliniek for four months. From 2016 to 2017, Merel worked as a Host and Waitress at De Uurwerker. In 2017, they joined Adyen as a Customer Success Manager, where they served until June 2020. During their time at Adyen, they also held roles as Mechanical Master in Credit Risk from February to July 2019, and as Mechanical Master in Group Finance from November 2017 to February 2019. In August 2020, Merel began their role as an Enterprise Customer Success Manager at Equinix, where they remained until August 2021. Currently, they are working as an Enterprise Customer Success Manager at DataSnipper, beginning in September 2021.

Merel Engberink pursued their education starting in 2012 at the University of Groningen, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics & Business Economics. During their time at the University of Groningen, they also completed a minor in Philosophy from 2015 to 2016. In 2017, they attended the Athens University of Economics and Business for a minor in Business economics / Economie en management / Economie en zakelijk beheer. That same year, they also began their Master's degree in Finance: Asset Management at the University of Amsterdam, which they completed in 2018.
