Chris Johnson

Chris Johnson has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Chris is currently the Senior Director of Streaming Platform Architecture at DataStax, where they lead global pre-sales efforts and develops field enablement for streaming products. Prior to this, they worked at VMware Tanzu as a Senior Manager, leading a team focused on helping customers adopt VMware Tanzu products and services. Before that, they held various roles at Pivotal, including Cloud Architect and Manager of Platform Architecture, where they provided technical support for Pivotal products and aimed to change the way customers build and run applications. Chris also worked at Oracle Corporation as a Senior Sales Consultant, specializing in Fusion Middleware and Core Technology. Earlier in their career, they worked as an Independent Contractor at Huntington National Bank, American Chemical Society, NetJets, and Affinion Group, taking on roles such as Software Architect and Lead Enterprise Architect. Chris started their career at Trilegiant and Cendant as a Technical Specialist and Senior Programmer Analyst, respectively. Throughout their career, Chris has demonstrated leadership, expertise in various technologies, and a focus on customer success.

Chris Johnson obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer & Informational Sciences Engineering from The Ohio State University. This degree was earned between 1993 and 1997. In addition, Chris Johnson holds a certification as a Certified Kubernetes Application Developer, which was obtained in February 2020 from The Linux Foundation.
