Olaf de Senerpont Domis has extensive work experience in the fields of content creation, editorial work, and communications. Olaf is currently working at DataStax as a Content & Editorial professional. Prior to this, they worked at Google as a Blog Editor and Content Lead from January 2020 to October 2020, and as a Customer Reference Lead from January 2017 to December 2019. Before joining Google, they served as a Senior Editor at Apigee, which was later acquired by Google in 2016.

In addition, Olaf worked as a Communications and Content Consultant for The Quilt, a national coalition of regional research and education networks, from February 2013 to August 2013. Olaf was responsible for developing marketing content, membership profiles, press releases, and blog posts for the organization.

Prior to their work with The Quilt, Olaf was a Partner at Jennifer Jones & Partners, a marketing firm catering to venture capital and private equity funds. During their tenure from September 2012 to August 2013, they provided guidance and journalistic perspective to the firm, developed and executed strategies for thought leadership, and wrote and edited press releases, articles, and blog posts.

Before joining Jennifer Jones & Partners, Olaf served as the West Coast Bureau Chief for The Deal LLC (acquired by TheStreet.com), where they worked from February 2000 to September 2012.

Earlier in their career, Olaf worked as a Staff Writer for American Banker in both San Francisco (from 1998 to 2000) and Washington DC (from 1994 to 1998).

Olaf de Senerpont Domis began their education in 1981 at Herbert Hoover Middle School, where they completed their middle school education before moving on to the next level. From 1983 to 1987, they attended Bellarmine College Preparatory, though no specific degree or field of study is indicated during this period. In 1987, Olaf enrolled at the University of California, Davis, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Managerial Economics and also completed a minor in English. Following their undergraduate studies, they attended Northwestern University from 1993 to 1994, earning a Master of Science degree in Journalism.
