Luis Miguel Ballestas Ayala

Luis Miguel Ballestas Ayala has a wealth of experience in the tech industry. Luis Miguel began their career in 2009 as an Analista de Programación at GECOLSA. In 2010, they joined Ludycom S.A. as a Coordinador de Proyectos, where they designed and implemented mobile solutions in Java ME and Windows Mobile, and integrated Restful and SOAP web services. In 2014, they co-founded Come Ya - ¡De tu smartphone a la cocina del restaurante!, where they served as a designer and developer of Restful API's, as well as a Frontend and Backend developer using PHP, JQuery and Postgresql. The company was sold to iFood Brasil and began operations in Colombia in January 2016. In 2017, they joined iFood Colombia as Head of New Business Development and Country Manager Colombia, where they were responsible for the operations roll-out and scale-up, and managed a 100+ people cross-functional team. In 2020, they were appointed Head of Technology Latam at iFood. In 2021, they joined Endeavor as a Mentor. Most recently, in 2022, they were appointed Chief Operating Officer at Celes.

Luis Miguel Ballestas Ayala completed their Ingeniero de Sistemas degree from Universidad del Norte between 2003 and 2008. In 2012 and 2013, they completed a Posgrado en dirección y gestión de TIC from Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. In 2010, they obtained a Sun Certified Programmer for the Java Platform, SE 5.0 certification from Sun. In 2022, they obtained an edX Verified Certificate for Retail Fundamentals certification from edX.
