Russell Kirmayer

Russell Kirmayer is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in software development and project leadership. Currently serving as the Head of Engineering for Identified Data Products for Life Sciences at Datavant, Russell has previously held roles as an Engineering Manager and Software Engineer. Prior to Datavant, Russell contributed as a Software Engineer at Forward, specializing in backend systems and cloud infrastructure for a healthcare technology company. As the Founding CTO of DevFlight, Russell led efforts to automate security processes for small businesses. Russell's engineering expertise was further demonstrated as a Senior Software Engineer at Oden Technologies, focused on IoT data acquisition for manufacturing, and as a Platform Software Engineer at Jibo, Inc., working on a social robot. An early career as a Print Process Engineering Intern at Formlabs involved applying analytical physics techniques for optimizing 3D printing processes. Russell holds a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor's Degree in Physics, with a minor in Mechanical Engineering, both from Carnegie Mellon University.
