Gilberto Bazan Gomez

Gilberto Bazan Gomez has a diverse range of work experience in various industries. In 2014, they worked as a Researcher at the University of South Bohemia, where they contributed to a project on greenhouse gas assessment using satellite data. In 2015, they joined Best Western Bazarell Inn as a General & Construction Manager, overseeing the hotel's administration, expansion, and franchise-related matters. Gilberto also served as the Sustainability Manager for the Best Green Program, working on environmental practices and sustainability initiatives.

In 2017, Gilberto worked as an Energy-efficiency of Urban Systems Consultant at Bax & Company. Gilberto conducted data analysis of European housing associations to develop CO2 reduction pathways. Gilberto was responsible for collaborating with housing providers and government organizations to develop retrofitting plans and improve energy performance.

In 2018, Gilberto joined PBL Planbureau voor de Leefomgeving as a MIDDEN Consultant. Gilberto worked on decarbonization options for the Dutch Starch Industries and collaborated with ECN and PBL to design solutions.

Starting in 2019, Gilberto worked at Royal HaskoningDHV as a Project Manager Multinationals and Compliance Team Manager. Gilberto managed projects for multinational clients, including Amazon, Heineken, and Data Centers. Their responsibilities included overseeing deliverables, finances, client satisfaction, compliance, and translating client requirements to the multidisciplinary team.

In the future, Gilberto will be starting a new role as a Product Owner at Datenna in 2023.

Gilberto Bazan Gomez completed their Master's Degree in Sustainable Energy Technologies from Eindhoven University of Technology from 2016 to 2018. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Sustainable Development Engineer from Tecnológico de Monterrey, where they studied from 2009 to 2014.

In addition to their formal education, Gilberto also gained a Certificate of Achievement in Petroleum Engineering from Schlumberger in 2012. Gilberto briefly pursued studies in Environmental Studies at the University of Oulu in 2014.

Gilberto has also obtained several certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. These include certifications in Business Collaboration in the Modern Workplace, Data Strategy, and Transitioning from Waterfall to Agile Project Management, which were obtained from LinkedIn in 2022. Gilberto also obtained certifications in Impromptu Speaking and Scrum: The Basics from LinkedIn in 2020.
