Jonathan Brekan

Vice President, Technology at Daubert Cromwell

Jonathan Brekan has extensive experience in the fields of chemistry and technology. Jonathan started their career as a Graduate Student at SUNY Buffalo in 2003 and went on to work as a Researcher at The University of Arizona in 2001. Jonathan then served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Northwestern University from 2008 to 2011. Brekan later transitioned into industry, working as a Scientist and Technology Manager/Applications Lead at Elevance Renewable Sciences, Inc. from 2012 to 2016. During this time, they designed and tested novel materials for lubricants and additives and presented their findings at conferences. In 2016, they joined Daubert Cromwell as a Senior Research Chemist and was responsible for corrosion preventive chemistry and global regulatory compliance. In 2018, they took on the role of a Technical Services Director, where they focused on sales support and research programs for corrosion inhibitor packaging solutions. Since 2018, Brekan has also been serving as an Adjunct Professor at Saint Xavier University, where they teach Organic Chemistry laboratories.
