Michael G. Griffin, DSc., MSPH has extensive experience in executive leadership roles in the healthcare industry. From 2008, they served as the CEO and President of Ascension DePaul Services of New Orleans, where they were responsible for strategic planning, development of objectives and policies, and budgeting. Michael G. represented the organization to various stakeholders and played a key role in community engagement. Prior to this, from 2003 to 2006, Griffin worked as an Administrator at The University of Alabama at Birmingham. Michael G. also held the position of Director at St. Vincent's Health System from 2000 to 2003.

Michael G. completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Health Management at Dillard University from 1989 to 1994. Following that, they pursued their Master's degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management at Meharry Medical College, graduating between 1994 and 1996. Later on, they continued their educational journey at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where they focused on Health Leadership and obtained their Doctor of Science degree, which they completed between 2013 and 2020.
