Dan Preston

Dan Preston is a seasoned technology executive with a strong background in leadership and strategic initiatives within the insurance and tech industries. Currently serving as a Board Member at Dave since October 2017, Dan previously held the position of Senior Vice President of Strategic Initiatives at Lemonade from August 2022 to September 2023, following Lemonade's acquisition of Metromile, where Dan served as CEO from February 2013 until August 2022. Earlier experience includes co-founding and serving as CTO at AisleBuyer, which was acquired by Intuit, and co-founding Photrade. Dan's formative roles included software engineering positions at Google and Inera Inc., along with research assistant positions at Tufts University and Harvard University. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Computer Science from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Brandeis University.
