Geoff Winans

Geoff Winans is a seasoned database and systems engineer with extensive experience in database reliability and systems architecture. Currently serving as a Senior Database Reliability Engineer at Dave since April 2023, Geoff specializes in database engineering, infrastructure management using Terraform, and implementing automated solutions for ProxySQL deployment in Kubernetes. As the owner of Brain Failures, LLC since June 2017, Geoff has also held prominent roles at Recharge Payments, CVS Health, ADESA, Phoenix NAP, Iridium, Unicorn Media, PayPal, and Blue Gecko, focusing on MySQL database administration, systems engineering, and platforms management. Education includes studies at Mesa Community College.
